The pharmacy is now a sub-agent for Diabetes Australia. So customers who are registered under the NDSS (National Diabetes Service Scheme) can pick up their strips, insulin and needles at the pharmacy at any time during opening hours.
Free Blood Pressure Checks
Our qualified pharmacist is available to provide free blood pressure checks and liaise with your doctor if required.
It involves a pressure cuff being placed around your upper arm to monitor both diastolic and systolic blood pressure.
Health Clinics
The pharmacy will also be running health clinics through out the year. There will a qualified nurse available on the day to provide any information and advice. Topics that will featured include diabetes, asthma/allergies, cardiovascular health, colorectal health and sun damage screening. Look out for the next coming clinic at the pharmacy.
Meds Check
A medscheck is a one on one time with your pharmacist in the pharmacy to discuss all your medicines. By working together, you and your pharmacist will ensure you are getting the most out of your medicines.

Sleep Apnoea Screening
What is sleep Apnoea?
OSA is the cessation of breathing during sleep for longer than 10 secs, the average cessation is 25 secs but can last over a minute.
Occurs when the upper airway repeatedly collapes during sleep, causing cessation of breathing (Apnoea) or inadequate breathing (hypopnoea) and fragmented sleep
"A" absence or lack of
"PNOEA" to breathe
AHI index is used to assess the severity of sleep Apnoea based on the total number of complete cessations (Apnoea) and partial obstructions (hypopnea) if breathing occuring per hour sleep.

Diabetes Screening
Our Pharmacist conducts a blood glucose test using a portable glucose monitor and testing strips:
- The finger is pricked to produce a drop of blood, which is placed on a testing strip that contains a chemical.
- Strip is placed in the glucose meter and results appear as a digital display.
